English side Stoke City are competing with Toulouse for the signature of Marseille midfielder Charles Kabore.

The 23-year-old midfielder is believed to be available from the Stade Velodrome for the right price and both sides look to be very much in the running for Kabore.

Toulouse see Kabore as a potential successor to Moussa Sissoko in the centre of midfield. The Ligue 1 side are well aware that Sissoko is coveted across Europe – the midfield enforcer nearly moved to Paris Saint-Germain before the capital city club’s late move for Mohamed Sissoko – and the 21-year-old feels ready for a new challenge.

And the all-action Kabore has been pinpointed as fitting the bill.

English club Stoke City are also keen on the 23-year-old and have been forced to scour the market for another midfielder after missing out on Mohamed Sissoko – the Potters were also in the running for the then-Juventus man before he headed to PSG.

Kabore joined Marseille in 2008, making the switch from Libourne. At international level the player has picke dup 20 caps for Burkina Faso.
