FC Porto President Pinto da Costa has reassured the club’s fans that star players will not be allowed to exit the Portuguese champions on the cheap.
The likes of Radamel Falcao, Hulk and Alvaro Pereira have all been linked with moves elsewhere, and while Da Costa cannot rule out that any will leave, he can confirm that they will only do so for what he deems a "mad offer".
Hulk, who was linked with a switch to Chelsea, is one such case and the striker’s buy-out clause is €100M.
"Porto value Hulk at €100M", confirmed Da Costa to Porto TV, "and I believe it will be difficult or any club to pay that."
The Portuguese club’s president also confirmed no firm offer had been received for the Brazilian and reports to the contrary were simply speculation.
And on the club’s other stars, Da Costa was also clear.
"Falcao and Alvaro Pereira are not heading for the exit door.
"Only a mad offer could change our decision, but I am confident [they will stay]."
