Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has blasted talk of a transfer to Arsenal and is clearly growing frustrated with constant speculation that he could leave the Bernabeu.

Benzema has received backing from Los Blancos coach Jose Mourinho and looks certain to begin the season with the Spanish giants. Indeed, the former Lyon hitman recently won praise for the way in which he has conducted himself and worked hard in pre-season.

Yet talk that Benzema is an Arsenal target has never quite gone away.

"My place is at Real", blasted Benzema to L’Equipe, seeking to end the constant chatter once and for all.

"I’ve never talked with [Arsene] Wenger or anybody else from Arsenal.

"I want to remain here."
