Arsenal have completed the signing of highly rated winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has come under fire for failing to strengthen his side sufficiently over the summer, but the Frenchman has now answered this by recruiting youth.

Oxlade-Chamberlain arrives at the Emirates from Southampton and has cost around £12M, with a further £3M to come in add-ons.

The 17-year-old underwent a medical earlier today and has put the finishing touches to what is described as a long-term deal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored ten goals with Southampton in their victorious League One campaign last season.

"We are looking forward to him fulfilling his huge potential with Arsenal", said Wenger, welcoming the youngster.
