AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano has turned down the opportunity to move to either Marseille or Wolfsburg.
The Italian forward is determined to remain with the Serie A champions and fight for his place, causing the 29-year-old to refuse to contemplate a switch to either Ligue 1 or the Bundesliga.
"I will fight for my place", said Cassano.
"I will prove to coach Massimiliano Allegri that I am indeed a serious option."
Cassano faces a real fight for game time this season with Alexandre Pato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Filippo Inzaghi and Robinho all competing for spots in Allegri’s starting eleven.
Nevertheless, with the Rossoneri involved in the Champions League in addition to attempting to defend their Serie A title, Cassano has reasoned that sooner or later he will receive a chance to impress – and when that opportunity comes he will take it.
