Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri are close to sealing their respective exits from Arsenal according to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal captain Fabregas looks set to land at former club Barcelona after Arsenal agreed a fee with the European Champions. The completion of that deal is imminent.

But also moving closer towards the exit door at the Emirates Stadium is Samir Nasri, with Manchester City talking to Arsenal about a fee of between £22M and £25M for the former Marseille schemer.

"We hope it will be sorted out very quickly one way or another", said Wenger.

"The Nasri situation is stable.

"Again, it is very difficult to speak about possible transfers but we are in a situation where we have to make decisions one way or the other.

Ideally you want it to be sorted out before the season starts."
