Andre Villas-Boas has ensured that AC Milan will be disappointed this summer by refusing to consider selling Didier Drogba.
The Ivorian’s future has been the subject of some speculation with Villas-Boas linked with bringing another striker into Stamford Bridge.
And this caused Milan to hope that there may be a chance of taking Drogba to the San Siro.
The Rossoneri had been dreaming of pairing Drogba up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, feeling that this forward line would be certain to help them challenge for the Champions League.
But Villas-Boas has decided Drogba will go nowhere.
And with the Ivory Coast international himself happy at Chelsea and in talks over a new deal, there seems no chance that the 33-year-old will leave Stamford Bridge before the summer transfer window slams shut.
