Udinese Sporting Director Fabrizio Larini has told Inside Futbol that the Italian side feel now is the best time to play English Premier League giants Arsenal.

The Serie A club are due to meet the Gunners in the Champions League playoff round, with the first leg on Tuesday at the Emirates.

But while it might be expected that Udinese feel meeting Arsenal now would be beneficial because of the growing pressure on manager Arsene Wenger, Larini insists that is not the reason for his belief.

Instead the Udinese Sporting Director feels that the reason this is a good time to play Arsenal is because they appear to be a "work in progress".

"The best moment to play against a big club is always at the beginning of a season", Larini told Inside Futbol, "when the top teams in particular are still a work in progress.

"This is the only advantage Udinese have, but it would be the same against other teams."
