Turkish giants Galatasaray have confirmed that they are in negotiations with Arsenal for Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Eboue.

Galatasaray have been tracking Eboue for much of the summer and are increasingly confident of getting their man before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

Eboue is out of the first team picture at the Emirates Stadium and stands ready to move to Turkey.

"Galatasaray has begun negotiations with Arsenal FC for the transfer of Ivorian-Belgian professional football player Emmanuel Eboue", read a statement released on the Turkish side’s official website.

"The public will be updated about the developments."

Eboue moved to Arsenal in 2005, but has struggled to clock up minutes on the pitch in recent seasons. Last year the Ivory Coast international appeared just 13 times in the Premier League.
