Blackburn Rovers are bracing themselves for serious interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in central defender Christopher Samba.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates and White Hart Lane throughout the summer, but Blackburn boss Steve Kean has received no concrete bids for his powerful defender.
And even if Kean does not want to sell Samba, he is well aware that bids look certain to arrive before the summer transfer window slams shut.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Samba could add real power and presence to a backline which has too often wilted late on in games, while also providing an aerial threat from set pieces.
Interest from Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is in much the same vein and the former Portsmouth boss now has space on his wage bill to take Samba after offloading Robbie Keane to Los Angeles Galaxy.
Samba himself is thought to prefer a switch to the Emirates, though that may change if Redknapp can charm the defender.
