AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has poured cold water on a revival of talk that suggested Kaka could leave Real Madrid and return to the Rossoneri this summer, insisting only if the Brazil star followed the lead of Cesc Fabregas would a deal be possible.

While Milan would love to welcome back the Brazilian and Galliani admits to having been upset when the midfielder moved to Spain, the idea is a non-starter at the Real Madrid man’s current salary.

Simply put, Kaka is too expensive for the Italians.

"I was upset when he left for Madrid two years ago", admitted Galliani to Sky Sport 24.

"But he’s too expensive for Milan, he would need to reduce his wages like Fabregas did to return to Barcelona."

And with that looking unlikely, Galliani has told Rossoneri fans not to hold out hope for Kaka’s return.

"I’m sorry to disappoint the fans, but the assumption we could get Kaka is impossible."
