Santos have explained that they received an offer from Paris Saint-Germain for exciting young midfielder Ganso, but turned down the bid.

PSG Sporting Director Leonardo continues to be keen on the Brazil international, but Santos have stuck firmly to their position that Ganso will not be sold just yet.

Indeed, the Brazilian side are desperate for Ganso to play in the Club World Cup with team-mate Neymar and even held out the possibility of the player remaining until the middle of 2012.

"PSG has made us a very interesting offer", confirmed Santos President Luis Alvaro Ribeiro de Oliveira.

"Leonardo has clearly shown great interest in our player, but I explained that there was no way we could conclude a deal.

"Ganso for now does not leave Santos, we will keep hold of him until the centenary of the club in mid-2012."
