Former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has sealed a deal to join Greek Super League side OFI Crete.

The 33-year-old had previously played for Danish side Odense after leaving English shores.

Now the Northern Ireland shot-stopper will hope to help keep OFI in the Greek top flight following the club’s promotion from the second tier last season.

Carroll has signed a two-year contract with the island club.

The keeper played for Manchester United between 2001 and 2005, picking up one English Premier League and one FA Cup.

Carroll also turned out for Rangers and Derby County upon leaving Old Trafford.
