Lille President Michel Seydoux believes that Belgian starlet Eden Hazard is worth an astonishing €58M.
Hazard has been targeted by English Premier League outfit Arsenal, while Paris Saint-Germain have also kept an eye on the 20-year-old’s situation.
Lille expect offers for the forward to arrive before the summer transfer window closes and Seydoux has taken the opportunity provided by Samir Nasri’s move to Manchester City to set out his stall for a record-breaking asking price in the hope of putting off potential suitors.
"When you see that Samir Nasri went for €28M with just one year left on his contract, you must think that Eden is worth at least twice that", the Lille supremo told RMC.
Seydoux also reiterated the message which has been emanating from the Ligue 1 champions that Hazard is not a player they are ready to lose.
"The team is built for Eden. We are counting on him.
"So there is no reason why he should not be here with us on 1st September."
And the Lille President also stressed that, despite much speculation that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign Hazard, no bid has yet arrived.
"Besides, no one has contacted me about him."
