The Turkish Football Federation have taken the unprecedented step of withdrawing Fenerbahce from the Champions League.

Fenerbahce are currently under investigation for match-fixing which has cast doubt on the legitimacy of last season’s Super Lig title win.

How UEFA will replace Fenerbahce is at this point unclear.

Trabzonspor, who finished second in the Super Lig last season, have themselves been implicated in the match-fixing probe.

The Black Sea Storm were eliminated in Champions League qualifying and are themselves in a two-legged playoff to reach the Europa League group phase.
