Lyon transfer advisor Bernard Lacombe has admitted that Aly Cissokho wants to leave the club.

But Lacombe also revealed that no side has yet to make an offer that is anywhere near good enough for a player Les Gones paid €15M for from FC Porto in 2009.

English club Newcastle United have been targeting the 23-year-old and he remains an option for Magpies boss Alan Pardew, although the English side are now leaning heavily towards PSV Eindhoven left back Erik Pieters due to concerns over Cissokho’s cost.

"Currently, Aly Cissokho gives us a lot of problems because every day he comes to ask us to leave", Lacombe told RMC.

"It would be annoying if he left just a few days before the end of the transfer window", he added.

Lacombe revealed there had indeed been a bid from Newcastle, but at well below the level required by Lyon.

"Newcastle made us an offer, but the problem is that the English club want to give us just half of what he cost us.

"If that’s still the case then Aly will stay with us."
