Paris Saint-Germain should enter the transfer market once again this summer if Mevlut Erding completes his expected move to Rennes.

PSG have come to an agreement with Rennes over the Turkish striker and the ball is now in Erding’s court.

The Turkey international has been concerned about a lack of playing time at the Parc des Princes, but had indicated a desire to fight for his place earlier this summer.

But if Erding moves to Rennes, PSG will have to look at moving for a replacement as losing the striker without having a new forward lined up would put the French side one man down.

"The situation is clear, because there is a possibility around Mevlut", said PSG Sporting Director Leonardo.

"He has an opportunity with Rennes, but if he stays you do not need a solution for a player of his level.

"The situation has not changed. We will try to do the best for everyone, but if you cannot find a solution then Mevlut remains.

"We’re not worried, the squad is complete. We have three forwards, outside attackers, there are solutions for the coach."
