Rich Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala have cast their eyes towards Germany’s Bundesliga for their next ambitious transfer target.

And the Dagestan club have settled on none other than Bayern Munich defender-cum-midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk.

The 32-year-old was linked with a return to former club Zenit St. Petersburg earlier this summer, but has remained happy to stay at the Allianz Arena.

Tymoshchuk has been thinking about returning east at the start of 2012 when the January transfer window opens, but Anzhi would like the Ukrainian this year.

Money is no object for the Russian club with Samuel Eto’o having already been snapped up from Inter.

It remains to be seen though whether Tymoshchuk will change his plans due to Anzhi’s interest.
