Juventus are pondering a late move for Schalke forward Jefferson Farfan.

Bianconeri coach Antonio Conte intends to play a 4-3-3 formation at the Turin giants this season, but feels he needs another forward who is capable of playing out wide as one of his attacking trident.

The Serie A giants have already failed with bids this summer for Lyon’s Michel Bastos and Hamburg’s Eljero Elia, leaving another option needing to be considered.

Farfan was expected to leave Schalke in the winter transfer window, but remained with the Ruhr giants.

The 26-year-old though could be available at the right price.

Farfan is under contract with Schalke until 2012 and the Ruhr giants would cash in on the Peru international rather than see him walk away for free next summer.
