Chelsea have announced the capture of Mexican starlet Ulises Davila.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder arrives at Stamford Bridge from Chivas Guadalajara and has inked a five-year contract with Andre Villas-Boas’ men.

"Ulises has been a highly scouted player by a lot of clubs and has made great progress in the last couple of tournaments we have seen him play in", revealed Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo.

"We are delighted to have been able to get this deal done.

"Chivas is a superb club with a strong reputation in player development and world football and we are confident Ulises will be able to continue his fast development to become an important Chelsea first team player", added Emenalo.

The signing of Davila continues the Blues’ policy of snapping up young talents that has already seen Thibaut Courtios, Romelu Lukaku and Oriol Romelu arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer.
