Arsenal are close to snapping up Brazilian left back Andre Santos from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to reinforce his squad before the transfer window closes and the Fenerbahce star has emerged as a realistic signing.
The English side are believed to have offered the Yellow Canaries £6.2M for the 28-year-old, a figure that is thought good enough to smooth a deal.
Santos joined Fenerbahce in 2009, moving from Corinthians, but has seen the Istanbul-based club troubled by match-fixing claims this summer.
Only last week Fenerbahce were withdrawn from the Champions League by the Turkish Football Federation, with Trabzonspor nominated to succeed them in the group stage draw.
And so Santos will jump at the chance to move to the Emirates, despite the rollercoaster nature of Arsenal’s start to the season.
