New Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has confirmed he turned down offers from Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to land at Eastlands.
Nasri headed to City from Arsenal last week, costing an estimated £25M, and made his debut for Roberto Mancini’s team at the weekend in the 5-1 romp over Tottenham Hotspur.
But the Frenchman could just as easily have been turning out elsewhere as, in addition to Arsenal being keen to hold on to his services, three other giants of the game battled for the midfielder.
"To come here I’ve rejected many teams", Nasri told Telefoot.
"Juventus, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were all interested in me this summer."
Nasri believes that opting to end up with City will prove to be the right decision, advising those who claimed his transfer was motivated by money to look at his medal collection at the end of the season.
