Blackburn Rovers are completing a double swoop for centre back Scott Dann and striker Yakubu.
Dann is costing the Ewood Park club a fee of £6M which could rise to £8M from Birmingham City, while Nigerian Yakubu should land for £2M from Everton.
The signing of 24-year-old Dann is a coup for Blackburn, with the England defender having been a target for Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Yakubu should add power to Steve Kean’s forward line and boost Rovers’ options up front.
The Nigeria star spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship side Leicester City, but is understood to be excited at the prospect of Premier League football at Ewood Park.
