French Ligue 1 side Lorient have been busy on this last day of the transfer window and concluded a triple forward swoop.
Lorient have raided Arsenal for the Gunners’ Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell and youngster Gilles Sunu, while highly rated Swiss hitman Innocent Emeghara has also landed.
19-year-old Campbell was bought by Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa over the summer but, despite his goalscoring efforts in the Copa America, was denied a work permit to play in England.
Campbell will spend the 2011/12 campaign on loan at Lorient as a result in what is a real coup for the Breton club.
20-year-old Sunu is another arrival from Arsenal.
The France Under-20 international has spent the past two years on loan away from Arsenal, with a spell at Lorient last season. Sunu has signed a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 side.
Emeghara, a quick Swiss forward, joins from Grasshoppers and much is expected of the new recruit.
