Roma will do a deal with Lyon for Bosnian schemer Miralem Pjanic today if the player can be persuaded to head to the Serie A club.

Pjanic emerged as a target for the Giallorossi earlier this summer, but no concrete offer was forthcoming – that changed yesterday.

Roma contacted Lyon to send a bid of some €11M to the Stade Gerland and this amount looks to have found favour with the Ligue 1 club.

All that remains is for Pjanic to pass his medical, with Italian sources confirming that the player is due to arrive in Rome and undergo tests today.

The Bosnian recently stated his desire to remain with Lyon this season and is settled in Ligue 1. He will have to give his agreement for this deal go ahead.

Pjanic could also bsee late interest from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, although Felix Magath turned to Aleksander Hleb to solve his creative dilemma yesterday.
