Lille defender Aurelien Chedjou has denied that Liverpool have been in contact with a view to a switch to Anfield, but confirmed interest from Juventus.
The 26-year-old has been at the centre of a flurry of transfer speculation linking him with Kenny Dalglish’s Reds side.
But Chedjou, who would find any proposal from Anfield tempting, has nothing to report on that front.
Indeed, for the Cameroon international Juventus look the most likely destination if he should leave Rudi Garcia’s side.
"Any news about Liverpool? No", Chedjou told L’Equipe, "the last foreign club that contacted me was Juventus."
And the defender stressed that he has been happy to stay with the Ligue 1 champions.
"They [Juventus] talked with my agent last summer, but I gave me word to Lille and I was happy to remain."
