Kashiwa Reysol have won the Japanese J.League title.
The side, which had only gained promotion to the top flight last season, pipped Nagoya Grampus to the post by just a single point.
Kashiwa Reysol secured the title by virtue of an impressive 3-1 win away at Urawa Red Diamonds.
The club’s title success will also send them into the record books, as this is the first time a newly promoted team have gone on to win the J.League in their first top flight campaign.
Kashiwa Reysol can now look forward to competing in this month’s Club World Cup as a representative of the host country.
