Ajax full back Gregory van der Wiel has told Real Madrid they face a fight at the Amsterdam ArenA as the Dutch giants try to do all they can to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16.
While Jose Mourinho’s side have already booked their spot in the knockout round, Ajax need to ensure they do not lose and a seven-goal swing does not take place with Lyon – otherwise second place in the group would be lost to the French.
And Van der Wiel has explained the Eredivisie champions are aiming for that not to happen.
"We’re doing well in the group", said the Dutchman.
"Hopefully we can say that we are in the next round of the Champions League after Wednesday. That would be a great achievement for our team.
"It’s very important for the club, the players and everything around Ajax."
