Arsene Wenger has praised tough-tackling midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, explaining that his challenge is keeping the 19-year-old on the right track.
Frimpong has made a positive impression this season and raised hopes that he could be the midfield enforcer that the Gunners have lacked since the days of Patrick Vieira.
And Wenger rates the youngster highly, admiring the way he wants to play the game.
"I love his raw enthusiasm", said Wenger, before pointing out that he faces a challenge to control it.
"The only problem is to keep him on the right track.
"Like every generous guy, you don’t want to see him lose that. He’s a real fighter. You would love to go to war [alongside] Frimpong.
"He has a good mixture of confidence, humility and energy. He learns as well, so after the heat, he accepts that he needs to think about what is right and wrong."
