Turkish giants Galatasaray have become the latest club to be linked with a swoop for AC Milan’s out-of-favour left back Taye Taiwo.

The 26-year-old has struggled for first team action with the Rossoneri since signing on a free transfer in the summer from Marseille.

Taiwo has remained insistent that he wishes to stay with the Serie A champions and fight to earn coach Massimiliano Allegri’s trust – even if he has to wait until next season to do so.

The Nigeria star looks set to have that desire tested though with a whole host of clubs lining up to offer him an escape route in January.

Believed to be weighing up a move for Taiwo are Werder Bremen, Lyon, Benfica and Genoa, with now Galatasaray having joined the player’s suitors.

Taiwo could either move from Milan on a six-month loan or the Rossoneri may be prepared to allow him to quit completely for a nominal fee.
