Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has rubbished rumours linking him with a move to English Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 27-year-old was said to be close to moving to Anfield in some quarters, but the Italian, who has been with the Bianconeri since 2005, has explained there is simply no truth to the talk.
In fact, for Chiellini, the matter seems like something of a joke.
"Moving to Liverpool? It’s ridiculous", announced the defender.
"When I read certain things I feel like laughing.
"People don’t know what to write any more."
The 27-year-old has never played club football outside Serie A, but remains steadfastly committed to Juventus.
Chiellini has picked up 49 caps for Italy.
