Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola is certain that Real Madrid have improved from last season.
El Clasico sees the two meet at the Bernabeu this evening and, if Real Madrid were to win, then they would hold a six-point lead over Barcelona, combined with a game in hand.
That could mean Guardiola’s side soon have a nine-point deficit to make up in the new year, a very critical state of affairs.
And all this is because Jose Mourinho’s men have improved.
“They know each other better”, Guardiola said of Real Madrid, “they’ve been playing together longer and know exactly what their coach expects of them.
“Tomorrow we will measure ourselves against the leaders.
“We will see who is the strongest.”
