Former Lyon coach Claude Puel has poured cold water on talk linking him with Real Betis.
The Seville-based club are struggling in La Liga and Puel had been suggested as a saviour.
But Puel, who parted company with Lyon at the end of last season, wants to take a year out of the game before returning.
"Of course, it tickles my fancy", said Puel when the idea of a return to management was floated.
"But I am still saying what I said before, which is that I’m taking a year off.
"It’s always interesting to take a step back.
"The job of a coach is a difficult job and that’s why it is interesting."
