Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola has ordered his players to keep their feet on the ground after beating Real Madrid in El Clasico at the weekend.

Guardiola’s men scored a comfortable 3-1 win at the Bernabeu, which was even more impressive given that the champions had slipped behind to a Karim Benzema goal after the very first minute.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Xavi and Cesc Fabregas however handed Barcelona the three points and put the side back on top of La Liga.

It is a position they will lose to Real Madrid next weekend though if Los Blancos can beat Sevilla – Barcelona are in Japan for the Club World Cup.

And so, Guardiola has ordered feet firmly on the ground.

"Real Madrid will recover", said the Catalan coach.

"To win here you have to play a very good game and we did that.

"But there is still much to do and Real Madrid will be the leaders again if they beat Sevilla.

"There are no champions in December."
