Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has told his team-mates to take advantage of Manchester City’s brittle defence when the two meet at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Cech has been watching the Citizens closely and, while the Czech Republic international understands that Roberto Mancini’s men score a lot of goals, believes that they are vulnerable defensively.

And it is that which the Blues must use to their advantage.

"Their main strength is their midfield and the attack [but] they still concede chances and Joe Hart has been having a very good season", Cech told Chelsea’s official site.

"But they do concede chances and defending is not their strongest point.

"So far they have been converting chances and they took advantage but who knows if they can keep scoring like that?"

The shot-stopper is also happy to see Chelsea’s form improving, even if he is remaining cautious about the upturn.

"We have to take games step by step, it is too early to say.

"We won two games in the league and this massive fixture against Valencia, but it would be too foolish to think now everything is fine because there is a long way to go.

"Not everything is perfect again and we know that in a difficult moment you need to go step by step and we are doing that."
