Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has revealed his view that Luis Suarez beats other strikers for work rate.

Suarez has been the Reds’ main goal threat this season and was again on target at the weekend, scoring the only goal of the game in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

The Uruguayan has been a huge success since being snapped up by Reds boss Kenny Dalglish from Ajax almost 12 months ago and has needed no time to get to grips with the English Premier League.

Johnson has been impressed and well admits Suarez is amongst the best forwards he has played with.

"I’ve been fortunate to play with some very good players and Luis is right up there”, the right back told Liverpool’s official site.

The former Chelsea player also pointed to a difference in attitude, with Suarez prepared to graft for his goals.

"The difference between him and most other strikers is that he works so hard.

“Obviously he likes to score goals like most strikers, but he works that bit harder.

“And when he’s in front of goal he’s the man you want the chances to fall to.”
