AC Milan have admitted they are prepared to play the long game over Carlos Tevez.
Manchester City have rejected the Rossoneri’s offer to take the 27-year-old on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to a permanent move, as they want an outright sale.
Complicating matters for the Serie A champions too is interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who are believed to have had an offer of €27M given the green light by City.
However, Tevez is known to prefer a move to Italy and this is something Milan hope will tip the balance – it also explains the Rossoneri’s cool attitude towards the transfer.
"Tevez is our first choice. We know we have the player’s agreement, but we hope he will not agree with other clubs", Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told Milan News.
"There is a deadline of 18:59 on 31st January to complete his transfer."
