Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has explained that he feels an obligation to pass on his experience at international level with France.

The 23-year-old now has close to 50 caps with France, making him one of the team’s veterans.

And Benzema understands that he needs to pass that on at Euro 2012, even if he is not a natural talker.

"I’m starting to have experience. I’m one of the older players and I have an obligation to discuss, talk, even if I am not a great talker", Benzema told France Football.

"I will give some advice", he added.

Benzema also struck a confident note over France’s chances in Poland/Ukraine.

"We will try to get past the first round. Don’t listen to what [the criticism] that is said."
