Former England coach Steve McClaren is setting his sights on a return to Dutch football.
McClaren led FC Twente to the Eredivisie title in 2010 before opting to head to the Bundesliga to manage VfL Wolfsburg.
Everything that could go wrong at the Volkswagen Arena did go wrong however and McClaren was shown the door, ultimately coming to regret leaving the Tukkers so quickly.
The Englishman returned home in the summer and took charge at Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, but the spell was also an unhappy one and McClaren parted company with the side.
And now it appears he is making moves to return to Holland.
McClaren has appointed Rob Jansen to look after his interests, breaking ties with Colin Gordon.
FC Twente are known to be keeping McClaren in mind, while PSV Eindhoven, who are still unsure over extending Fred Rutten’s contract, are also a possibility.
