Everton have pulled off a coup by securing the return of American striker Landon Donovan on loan.
Donovan, who recently helped Los Angeles Galaxy to the 2011 MLS Cup with David Beckham, will land on Merseyside in January and could make his debut against Bolton Wanderers on 4th January.
The 29-year-old has spent time at Goodison Park before and turned out for the Toffees in 2010 before heading back to the United States.
And Everton manager David Moyes was over the moon at securing Donovan’s return.
"I am delighted that we have managed to get Landon back", Moyes told his club’s website.
"He will give us some good experience over January and February.
"He did well for us when he was over two years ago and hopefully will return with those same qualities."
