Ajax coach Frank de Boer believes that his side have been handed an extremely difficult draw in the Europa League Round of 32.
The Eredivisie champions have been paired with Manchester United who, like Ajax, dropped out of the Champions League into the competition.
De Boer admits he would rather be in the Champions League, but is sure the clash against the English Premier League giants will be "amazing".
"This was, along with Manchester City, the toughest opponent we could get", said De Boer.
"There are no easy opponents anymore.
"It’s an amazing experience and opponent to play against. Manchester United and us would have preferred to be in the Champions League draw though."
Ajax player Christian Eriksen quickly taunted his countryman and Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, telling the Dane: "Manchester United! Sorry Anders Lindegaard, but you’re going out."
