Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he sees himself returning to play for his first club Independiente in six years.

By that time the Argentine striker will be 29 years old and he is keen to pitch up at his boyhood club while he is still at the peak of his powers.

Aguero joined Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in the summer and has enjoyed a superb impact in the English Premier League, quickly making Citizens fans forget about the troubles engulfing his countryman Carlos Tevez.

Augero though is keen to ensure the Independiente faithful can get a glimpse of the talents on display at Eastlands now that he has fully matured – even if they will have to wait six years to do so.

Asked when he would return to Independiente, Aguero replied: "I’ve always said that I’d go back when I’m 29 years old.

"I want to go [back] and I always want the best for Independiente."

Aguero left El Rojo in 2006 when Atletico Madrid splashed out €23M to take the up and coming striker to Spain.

The Argentine was tasked with the job of replacing Fernando Torres at the Vicente Calderon and was an overwhelming success, quickly terrorising La Liga defences.
