Greek giants Olympiacos are preparing to offer Polish goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak an escape route from his Manchester United nightmare.

Kuszczak has been outspoken in his desire for first team football at Old Trafford and, when that was not forthcoming, for a move away from the English champions.

A loan move to Leeds United was blocked recently by the Red Devils, but boss Sir Alex Ferguson seems ready to allow the 29-year-old to head to the exit door in the January transfer window – both David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard sit in front of the Pole in the pecking order.

And Olympiacos will hand Kuszczak the regular playing time he craves if he agrees to move to Greece.

The Greek side’s manager Ernesto Valverde is in the midst of planning his winter window activity, with Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez also on the agenda.

Kuszczak is likely to jump at the chance to join the Super League champions.

The former West Brom shot-stopper is desperate to ensure a starting spot for Poland in time for Euro 2012, which the country are co-hosting with Ukraine.
