PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old is thought to be interesting Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, who is searching for a "special player" to add to his squad in January.
The highly rated Toivonen could well fit the bill, with the forward having continued his development along an upward curve in Eindhoven.
Toivonen has been in red hot form this season for PSV, finding the back of the net eight times so far in 16 Eredivisie games.
The Swedish international is under contract with the Dutch giants until 2014 and Spurs would need to make an attractive offer to tempt PSV into cashing in on their goal-getter.
Nevertheless, for the right price Toivonen is believed to be available and he would surely jump at the opportunity to head to White Hart Lane.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s striking partner at international level, it is expected to be difficult for PSV to keep hold of Toivonen in the long term.
