AC Milan are stepping up their bid to take Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.
Despite City knocking back a loan offer from the Italian champions and French giants Paris Saint-Germain being prepared to put cold hard cash on the table for the 27-year-old, a meeting between the Rossoneri and the Citizens has been set for Thursday.
And even if Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani does not expect matters to be settled in the course of just one meeting, progress could still be made.
"On Thursday we have an appointment with Manchester City for Tevez, but it will probably not be the decisive one to conclude negotiations", said Galliani.
The Rossoneri supremo also stated Milan’s position, which is composed of at first a free loan deal, something City are not thought prepared to accept.
"We’re not going to buy him outright, we’re offering a free loan with the right to buy in June.
"The player wants to come to use and not PSG and we hope City accept the offer."
