Liverpool have snapped up 15-year-old forward Jordon Ibe from Wycombe Wanderers.
The Merseyside giants have paid an undisclosed fee for the teenager, a player who has been turning heads ever since making his senior team debut for Wycombe against Colchester United in this season’s League Cup.
"It’s a fantastic move for him", said Wycombe boss Gary Waddock to his club’s official website.
"He is a phenomenal talent which is why we gave him a chance to show what he can do at first team level", added the Chairboys manager.
"Obviously we wanted to keep him, but we didn’t stand in the way of an opportunity he deserves.
"I have no doubt in my mind that he will go on to become a big star and I will be keeping a close eye on his progress."
Liverpool have also held talks with Cliftonville goal-getter Rory Donnelly as Kenny Dalglish looks to provide for the Reds’ future striking needs.
