Borussia Monchengladbach have been forced to deny fielding any offers for midfielder Marco Reus as the speculation surrounding the 22-year-old goes into overdrive.
Bayern Munich are believed to be putting the finishing touches to an €18M bid for Reus, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also known to be a fan of the forward-thinking attacking midfielder.
Reus has rivalled Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze as the Bundesliga’s finest young player so far this season, scoring ten goals and leading an unlikely Gladbach charge for a Champions League spot.
The club hierarchy would dearly love to keep Reus at Borussia-Park until the end of the current campaign at least, and much to their relief, have no bids to report as yet.
"There are no offers from Bayern", Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Sky Bundesliga.
"It’s obvious that many clubs admire him, but he is happy with us and nobody has yet made us an offer."
Reus is under contract with Gladbach until 2015.
