Paris Saint-Germain defender Diego Lugano has blasted speculation that he is poised to return to Fenerbahce.

 

The 31-year-old arrived at the Parc des Princes from the Yellow Canaries over the summer, but has been quickly linked with heading to Istanbul once again, talk that only increased when the Uruguayan was spotted in Turkey.

 

It is talk Lugano has rubbished however.

 

"This is completely false", said the centre back about a speculated move back to Fenerbache.

 

"It’s absurd. I do not want to go back to Fenerbahce.

 

"I went to Turkey on a rest day to settle an administrative matter and the local media jumped on it as an opportunity to create a rumour.

 

"To say that I don’t feel fine in Paris is a joke.

 

"At first it made me laugh, but then I was a little upset."
