Paris Saint-Germain are negotiating to bring about the end of the Antoine Kombouare’s spell in charge.
Kombouare has only just led PSG to top spot in Ligue 1 in time for the Christmas break, handing the side the moniker of "winter champions" in the process.
Even this though has not proven enough to satisfy the club’s Middle Eastern owners, the sovereign wealth fund of Qatar.
The club announced via their website that: "PSG and coach Antoine Kombouare would like to clarify that they have entered into discussions that should lead to a serene future and allow everyone to protect their interests."
PSG are thought to have already lined up former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, who has insisted on the club launching a quadruple swoop on Stamford Bridge as a condition of taking the post.
Also linked with the Parc des Princes is ex-Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.
