Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger has spoken about against a possible move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Marco Reus.
The Bavarians are hot on Reus’ tail and an €18M for the 22-year-old has been mooted.
Reus has excelled at Borussia-Park this season and helped Gladbach to an unlikely run in the upper reaches of the Bundesliga, attracting much attention in the process.
But Bayern stalwart Schweinsteiger believes that it is too soon for Reus to move to the biggest club in Germany and has warned the Bavarians against making a bid.
"I don’t know whether it would be the right time for him to come to Munich", Schweinsteiger told TZ.
"We have already got a lot of cover in his position.
"There have been cases in the past when a talent has arrived and it hasn’t worked."
However, on Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze, Schweinsteiger adopts a very different stance.
"I personally think Mario is very mature", said the Germany international.
"I really like his football skills and his character."
